Located in a bustling part of downtown Suffolk, the Elliot Hotel, built in 1925, was designed by Peebles and Ferguson and remains as one of Suffolk's best examples of the Colonial-Georgian Revival.
Location: Suffolk, VA
Owner: Petra Properties
Original Architect: Peebles and Ferguson
Façade Contractor: The Nexus Company
The Nexus Company contributed efforts to restore the historic façade and strengthening the structural integrity of the historic Elliot Hotel. The high rise façade underwent in-situ repairs of several terracotta capitals, masonry repairs and tuckpointing with access via swing stage.
Our team also installed a new masonry enclosure while matching the existing historic masonry façade, as well as installation of an advanced crystalline waterproofing technology at the basement to alleviate water intrusion from the foundation walls.
